Molen De Adriaan Windmill - Haarlem, Netherlands

The Molen De Adriaan Windmill is the very first windmill we saw in The Netherlands. It's one of the the highest points where you can see most of Haarlem. The original mill burnt down in 1932 and was only rebuilt in 1999 as a bricklaying training project. We spontaneously went to visit the mill one Saturday afternoon and I was completely blown away (pun pun pun) by what a mill actually looks like on the inside. This mill is 5 floors high, can you believe it?! We had a really sweet guide who took us through the mill explaining the entire history of the mill. Make sure when visiting that you are wearing comfortable and flat shoes as there's a lot of climbing, steep steps and standing involved.
