What is this blog all about?

Many people have asked me what the purpose is behind this blog.
Why do you blog? How long have you been blogging for? What exactly is your blog about, it seems so complicated?
Actually, it's not complicated.

One morning, my 13 year old self woke up and realized that there is so much each age group does not understand about the other. There are clearly things in this world that go unnoticed. There are places that need to be discovered and then shared with the rest of the world. There are things that I personally do not always understand, but get to learn about from someone else. These are the things I decided to document as I grew older and write about it. 13 year old me had a brave little idea that I also wanted to make a difference one way or another. I wanted to be a difference. Then I realized, I can give the world something. My thoughts. I can help people out there understand why things are the way they are. I can try and make people see it through my eyes.

When I share my life stories with friends, the things that happened, the things I saw happening (which ten-to-one had me involved), I am always told, “Claudia, you should really write a book”. It encouraged me to start somewhere and so I plant the seed through this blog.

All the stories I post on my blog are true. They are all based on actual moments in my life. So far, I have kept it lighthearted or full of humour.
When will you share the more serious stories?
Well, you can read those stories when I have published my little book... one day... it's a dream... *hint hint publishers* :) .

Anyway, while I was in Thailand my laptop was stolen (you can view my amateur video dedication about that here). Before it was stolen, amazing me managed to organize and sort stories to date. Stupid me never backed it up and poor me lost it all when the idiot stole it from me. With a lot of heart ache set aside and new courage on my hands, I have decided to start sorting all of it again. I managed to dig out old backups I left in South Africa.

Tragedy aside, I do realize that this blog is very diverse. That's because I am very diverse. My brain thinks about many things all the time and if I don't have someone to listen to my amazing ideas and stories, I try to blog about it. I enjoy sharing ideas and showing places to people that might never get the opportunity of seeing. I love reenacting my real life stories through doodles/cartoons.

This blog seems really big with all it's tabs... it's not actually. Those tabs are there to index all the posts I have had up in the past. It makes it easier to find posts even for me haha. For those that don't really understand how to scroll through a blog, you can scroll down to the bottom of the main page, click on older posts and you will start reading through all the posts from the latest to the oldest.

If you would like to comment on a post, click on the title of a post and then scroll down to the bottom where you will find a comment section.
I love receiving comments! So please feel free to leave me as many as you like!

In conclusion... this is just the small start to something amazing :)

  1. Hi Claudia. First of all, i'm really glad to see my old button of my old blog there on your sidebar... thanks if you considered it awesome. haha... anyway, i have asked myself that very question too. Why do i blog? I even see it as a waste of time sometimes, but the fun of sharing and making friends through my blog always dominate my laziness to post. Ashamed to admit that, but it's true. So until now, I have a blog, although I keep changing it year after year. In fact, I just moved to a new one. http://hernotesandkisses.blogspot.com/ I will appreciate it if you pay it a visit. :) I will have a new button soon, so you throw that old button away. Hehe.

PS - I've been reading blog posts without leaving comments. But I want you to know that I have read that post when you got dengue fever. I was really sorry. Thank God you're okay now.
